At Peace

Katarina’s thoughts drifted to the friends she left behind in her mother country, whose lives now were forever set adrift on paths she could no longer follow. Yet she knew that escaping to the United States was the only way for her to survive, and the only chance she had to live without fear of losing herself or her family. She is at peace with her choice and is ready to live a full life that is full of possibilities.

Mixed media collage and painting on 12×24″cradled wood panel.
