Images, Day of the Dead in San Miguel de Allende

On one of our many walks around town, we stumbled upon A. Falgar, who was making these incredible paper maiche figures for the DOD celebrations. He was very kind when we interrupted his work to show us through his gallery. We continued to see him as we dragged more pilgrims back to his gallery to share his beautiful paper figures, as well as his grande paintings using marble dust. We saw one of his installations in a hotel that was just magnificent.

Love this collection of photos, especially the paper mache figures, as I don’t recall seeing the four in the top left photo when I got there!

    1. As an artist, when you walked into the studio with those figurines surrounding you, it just made the hair on your arms stand up.
