Agnes-Cecile for 1000 Drawings

Agnes-Cecile painted this for the 1,000 Drawings  Amsterdam charity event that will be held in Vlaams Cultuurhuis de Brakke Grond on May 11. One thousand A5 drawings donated by artists around the world will be on sale that night to raise money for this year’s charity,  Fair Pen, an organization who helps children in Uganda publish their own newspapers to help influence public opinion and to learn how to cope with complex issues. If you would like to take part, contact Kim Si Rae van Poelgeest at kim@1000DrawingsAmsterdam.nl for more information.

Amazing to watch Agnes Cecile giving life to her haunting lady. The music was even exciting as the painting grew. She developed a personality of her own in less than 3 minutes. So much to learn and enjoy. I am glad that you are so involved. What a road ahead for you.!! V

We’re absolutely delighted with her kind and beautiful ‘creative donation’, and I’m happy to see you also included the thought behind her contribution on your post. It’s really heartwarming to see artworks arrive from the international community!

As a small side note, 1000 Drawings is just our brand name. Everyone can participate and as such we’ve retrieved far over 1000 drawings in our first event (1400+), and this year we’re expecting even more. So if you’re in town on 11 May (2012), by all means come over and get yourself some amazing drawings, enjoy various creative disciplines with music and performance, and donate to charity in the process!
