Cori Dantini

Cori Dantini is another artist whose work I admire and own. This is the piece I have hanging on my inspirational wall.

She Flies with Her Own Wings

Cori is a wonderful illustrator who uses interesting backgrounds for her illustrations–maps, shorthand pages (sadly, I remember and can read these if they are Forkner-based), dictionary and ledger pages, and other old paper that she collected over the years. An interesting connection as well, she is from Eastern WA and lives in the small town near where my mother-in-law grew up on a farm in Colton.

Recently, Crescendoh’s Jenny Doh interviewed Cori and the interview is here. Take a look at Cori’s Etsy shop, her work really is spectacular.

  1. it isn’t sad that you can read the shorthand!!! it is cool…
(i took shorthand in high school, and i was probably amongst the last who will ever take it)
*insert sigh here… but you know typing is WAY faster, and WAY less confusing!

thanks for the shout out, and i will wave to colton for you the next time i pass through.
