A recent article in Somerset Holidays and Celebrations entitled Stitched Envelopes by Viv Sliwka who is from Staffordshire, inspired me to look through my stash of envelopes. I must say that this was a lot of fun and I plan to do a lot more of it. I affixed my envelopes on a canvas and to two old frames that I snatched at a garage sale this summer.

This is an excellent idea, particularly for people like me who are intimidated by a large space. Stamp a 4×6 card? No problem. Make a scrapbook page? Scares me silly. This gives beginning artists a frame of reference and a great jumping-off point. Will have to try it soon.
