Kelly Vivanco

On my husband’s birthday, I met him in Seattle so that we could attend Flatcolor Gallery’s opening of the beautiful work of Kelly Vivanco, an artist from San Diego. I just love Kelly’s work and was thrilled that I was able to meet her and to see her work in person. She very graciously allowed me to take her picture to share on my blog.

Kelly’s work really moves me and I can sit for a long time just looking at the color combinations, composition and whimsical nature of her paintings. You can see more of her work on her blog or on her website. This is what Kelly says in her description of herself. I love this.

You’ve just inherited a manufacturing plant that specializes in plastics. What are you going to make? I will make vintage reproductions of mannequins from the 1940s. Ooh, and a giant plastic elephant on wheels that I can ride around in (pedal powered).
